Resident Evil Village DLC is in the works, Resident Evil Re:Verse out next month

Capcom has confirmed that “development has just started” on some sort of DLC for its step-on-me-mommy sim, citing “popular demand”.

What else? Dunno, Capcom isn’t ready to talk about that. But to me, “popular demand” can only imply one thing – more Lady Dimitrescu. Or Chris Redfield, maybe, because there’s a lot of unresolved plot about his time in Resident Evil Village. Or Ada Wong, even, because she was originally supposed to be in the game and actually features in some of the concept art unlocks. But it’s probably Lady Dimitrescu. Please be more Lady Dimitrescu. We want more Lady Dimitrescu.

In the meantime, though, Resident Evil Village producer Tsuyoshi Kanda has also confirmed that the “survival horror revenge” game Resident Evil Re:Verse is launching in July.

In Resident Evil Re:Verse you can test your skills against other players in four to six-person survival horror revenge matches. Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tides of battle with powerful bioweapons. Take part in 5-minute Deathmatches, where the player with the most points wins! Use the weapons and items you find to take down even more powerful enemies!

Resident Evil Re:Verse is a free extra for everybody who purchases Resident Evil Village.
