Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

Over half a million cheaters now banned from Call of Duty: Warzone, lol

That’s about 200,000 more cheaters busted and sent into time-out to think about their choices since February, because so what, you can’t tell xSwagNinja69x what to do, omg, you’re not his mom.

Like every other multiplayer game ever, Call of Duty: Warzone has been dealing with cheaters since it launched in 2020, despite a “zero tolerance” policy and multiple ban waves.

“We know cheaters are constantly looking for vulnerabilities,” publisher Activision has previously explained, “and we continue to dedicate resources 24/7 to identify and combat cheats, including aimbots, wallhacks, trainers, stat hacks, texture hacks, leaderboard hacks, injectors, hex editors and any third party software that is used to manipulate game data or memory.”

This weekend, developer Raven Software confirmed some 30,000 new bans, with the total number of bans now exceeding 500,000.

The real problem with Call of Duty: Warzone, however, is that a ban isn’t a permanent solution because it’s linked to a user account – so xSwagNinja69x can just make a new account and keep cheating until that account is banned, make a new account, keep cheating, loop. As such, it’s inevitable that some of those 500,000 bans are different accounts of the same users, but it’s impossible to determine exactly how many. Or, like, why xSwagNinja69x isn’t working out his obvious self-esteem issues in therapy.
