May the fourth be with you! It’s Star Wars Day, and Google is ready with ewok confetti.
The franchise’s punny “holiday” has been an annual event for fans since 2008 or so, according to Wikipedia, and was subsequently endorsed by The Walt Disney Company in 2013. Commemorative marketing campaigns celebrations include specials deals on Star Wars games and merch, and, uh, this Princess Leia rice bowl recipe.
If you’re stuck in front of your PC, though, you don’t have to miss out. Try typing “may the fourth be with you” into Google and witness the power of this fully armed and operational CSS code. Adorable.
It works with “star wars”, “star wars day”, “may 4th”, and probably lots of other terms too – but not “midi-chlorians”. The Force must maintain some kind of balance.
