Update 2.0 is currently live for Monster Hunter Rise, adding new monsters, quests, and level caps.
Free for all players, the latest Monster Hunter Rise update includes new monsters, like Chameleos, Teostra, Kushala Daora, Apex Rathalos, and Apex Diablos, adding more variety to the many ways you can already get stomped by your titanic prey.
But that’s not all, your Hunter Rank can now increase beyond the original cap of seven, meaning new quests, items, skills, and monsters will become available. The armour upgrade cap is also being raised and you can forge layered armour at the Smithy. This goes for your buddies, too, as the Palico and Palamute level cap raises to 50. Forge them some layered armour while you’re at it.
The update also includes a range of bug fixes. For all the details, check out the official patch notes.
In other news, Monster Hunter Rise has sold six million copies (a million more since the beginning of April), so players can expect a free celebratory gift pack containing Mega Potions, Well-done Steaks, Large Barrell Bombs, Mega Demondrugs, and Mega Armorskins. Just update your game and head on over to the Courier to collect.
The Monster Hunter Rise 2.0 update alone is about 0.9GB, but about 1.5GB if it’s your first time updating the game.
