The Apex Legends War Games event begins next week and Maggie is back to do you a mischief. Did you know you’re about as spry as her 80-year-old mum? Maybe you hadn’t heard.
War Games is a two-week playlist takeover in Apex Legends featuring five different game modes spread out over the course of the event. First up, there’s Second Chance, where everyone gets one free respawn with all their weapons and gear. Following that is Ultra Zones, which adds multiple high-tier loot zones within healing Flash Point bubbles. Then, there’s Auto Banners, in which your fallen teammate’s Banner Card is automatically collected so you can head straight to the nearest respawn point. Next up is Killing Time, in which round time is reduced whenever a Legend dies and, lastly, Armour Regen, which is pretty self-explanatory – your armour regenerates (but also there are no Shield Cells).
Each mode lasts a few days. Here’s the schedule (modes swap over late afternoon/evening SA time):
- Second Chance: Tuesday, 13/4 – Thursday, 15/4
- Ultra Zones: Thursday, 15/4 – Monday, 19/4
- Auto Banners: Monday, 19/4 – Wednesday, 21/4
- Killing Time: Wednesday, 21/4 – Friday, 23/4
- Armor Regen: Friday, 23/4 – Tuesday, 27/4
The event will also include a new rewards track, to help anyone along that hasn’t completed their Battle Pass yet, and a bunch of new cosmetics to earn/buy. And then it will be time for Season 9 (and hopefully a Horizon nerf).
