Monday will be over soon, here’s a mashup of Studio Ghibli visuals to get you over the finish line.
HBO Max released this mashup of relaxing scenes from a number of Studio Ghibli titles (many of which are currently available on the streaming service) known for featuring gorgeously animated landscapes. Netflix also has a whole bunch of them to choose from, if you suddenly require a Ghibli fix and do not have access to HBO Max. The HBO Max relaxation mashup features scenery from multiple films, including My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, The Wind Rises, Ponyo, and Howl’s Moving Castle.
Put it on in the background just for the wind and nature sounds, if you like. The visuals do repeat a number of times and I haven’t identified any Princess Mononoke amongst them, which is a travesty and a bit weird given the focus on nature for that film.
The most recent offering from Studio Ghibli, Earwig and the Witch, is a fully 3D CG animated film about an orphan with magical powers who is adopted by a witch. Currently only available on HBO Max. Which makes it possible that Showmax will pick it up in the future.
