Maximum-spec Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will commandeer 250GB of your hard drive on PC

You do want Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to be the shiniest it can possibly be, don’t you? Get all up in those filthy Soviet pores! You got that fancy new RTX for a reason.

Activision and Treyarch recently released the PC specifications for Cold War, alongside the fency trailer, and sjoe. If you want to run it in 4K, with all the frame rates, and ray tracing, you’re going to need 250GB HD space, the RTX 3080, and maybe to prepare yourself to taste colours.

For the regular folk out there, who just want to play the game without seeing through time and space, standard Cold War is going to take up, a not inconsiderable, 175GB of your hard drive, but you can also just download the multiplayer for 50GB, if that’s what you’re into. Feel free to investigate all your options in the handy graphic, below:

If this has you console players giggling, the Standard Edition is around 100GB on the Xbox One and probably something similar on the PS4 (their store doesn’t say). So we’re all going to be making some tough installation decisions (looking at you, ARK).

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is due to launch on 13 November for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation with full crossplay functionality.
