A fantasy nation divided into colour-coded factions, a badass martial arts protagonist, an adorable and chonky method of animal-based transportation, dragons, and a sacred quest – Raya: the Last Dragonbender is looking pretty excellent.
In Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, warrior Raya (voiced by Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Kelly Marie Tran) must track down Sisu the legendary last dragon (voiced by Awkwafina) in order to restore peace and stop an ancient evil from destroying the world. On her journey, Raya will learn that dragons won’t solve all your problems, because you need less exciting things like trust and teamwork, too. Also, maybe the dragon was inside you all along?
I bet it was.
Tuk Tuk plushies for everyone!
Raya and the Last Dragon is all set to premiere some time in March 2021.
