Borderlands 3 FL4K Bot

Borderlands 3 is finally getting that fourth skill tree you’ve all been waiting for

Announced during the Gearbox Digital Showcase at PAX Online, Borderlands 3 is getting more skill trees, next-gen compatibility, and crossplay – oh my.

First up, that fourth skill tree (that’s been rumoured pretty much since Gearbox confirmed they won’t be adding any new Vault Hunters) is coming to Borderlands 3 as part of a premium DLC pack before the end of the year. This means that each Vault Hunter will get a fourth skill tree to play with, adding a range of new abilities and Action Skills. As part of the showcase, Gearbox featured FL4K’s new Trapper skill tree. As a Trapper, FL4K gets a loaderbot pet and a new Gravity Snare Action Skill that gives the Beastmaster some crowd control by tossing enemies into the air and slamming them into the ground.

Be aware, since the season ended with DLC 4 (Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck), the DLC with the additional skill trees will be a separate purchase and not part of the current Season Pass or the Super Deluxe Edition of the game.

Borderlands 3 will also be getting Xbox Series X, Series S, and PlayStation 5 upgrades, with the Series X and PS5 versions capable of 4K resolution at 60fps in single-player. The next-gen consoles will also be getting four-player splitscreen co-op, while current-gen consoles are getting a vertical splitscreen option (and hopefully the ability to scroll through Mayhem Modes…).

But that’s not all. If you already own Borderlands 3, you’ll get the next-gen version for free and you’ll be able to carry all your progress,  purchases, and saves over. Also, crossplay is coming some time in 2021.
