Xbox Series S trailer and specs also leaked, ooops

It’s been a super soggy Tuesday at Microsoft HQ’s plumbing department, with the leaks of the fun-sized Xbox Series S console and next-gen console launch dates and prices plugging up the drains, and now the geyser is dribbling. Who’s going to start a GoFundMe campaign to get them some extra towels?

Posted on Twitter and subsequently “confirmed” by scene source Nibel so you know it’s probably legit, the disc-free $299 Xbox Series S console for gamers on a budget features a 512GB SSD and support for 1440p resolutions up to 120 frames per second, ray-tracing, 4K media streaming and game upscaling, variable rate shading, variable refresh rates, and the kind of ambiguous “ultra-low latency”. Controller latency? Online latency? Your mom’s latency? Dunno.

The video is, obviously, unverified for now, so it’s up to you to decide if it’s for real – but it’s got music and 3D renders and dramatic editing, and who has that kind of time to produce a fake video? Besides a lot of people on the internet, I mean.

According to the first series of leaks, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles are launching on 10 November. Like the video, this info is also unverified, but dial your Fact-O-Trons to “credible” in the meantime.
