Cyberpunk 2077 Vday

Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be majorly delayed again, for really real this time

Third time should be the release-date-charm for Cyberpunk 2077, but it’s still 2020, so anything could happen.

In CD Projekt Red’s recent recap of the first-half of the fiscal year for 2020, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz mentioned that Cyberpunk 2077 is in the final stretch of development and that it will be out before their next financial call, which should be taking place in December.

When we meet again in this format, Cyberpunk 2077 will have already been released.

Although minor delays could happen, this means we shouldn’t see it pushed into 2021 like what happened to Halo Infinite. That fear was looking pretty legitimate after Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed a third time. The game was originally meant to come out in April this year, then it got delayed to September, and then finally to 19 November 2020. The actual game is, apparently, finished, so the final delay was made to give the team time to fix balance issues and bugs, and to give it that last bit of polish.

You can watch the full financial recap below, if you’re into that sort of thing (English subtitles available). Spoiler alert: CD Projekt Red is doing really well.
