Raised by Wolves is Ridley Scott’s first foray into directing a television series, so it’s got some serious sci-fi roots.
In Raised by Wolves, Earth has been destroyed and an android, called Mother (played by Amanda Collin), has been programmed to protect the new generation of survivors, hidden away on a mystery planet. Or has she? Things get tricky when a (probably?) bad guy appears, along with his militaristic entourage, and the carnage commences. Also, skeleton monsters?
Yes, it seems somewhat similar to Netflix’s I am Mother, but this time we’ve got Ridley Scott directing (the first two episodes) and that’s definitely a good thing, if you forget about Prometheus.
Raised by Wolves premieres on HBO Max on 3 September 2020.
