According to the official patch notes, today’s Season Five update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will be between 34 and 54 GB, depending on the platform, with PC getting the roughest deal. But, with great heft, comes great new destinations, multiplayer maps, and Operators.
First up, Warzone is getting some map additions, including a massive stadium (complete with underground parking area), the inside of the train station, and a big ol’ freight train running on a loop in southwestern Verdansk. If you were feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the tall buildings, they’ve added extra Exterior Ascenders across the map to assist you with your upward mobility and getting all up in snipers’ faces.
Warzone is also getting a Mini-Royale mode for 10-minute bouts of carnage, updated weapon rotation, and pumping tunes for your vehicle, so you can jam your way to victory. You’ll get three unique Wartracks as part of the new Battle Pass rewards.
Over on the Modern Warfare side, you’re getting, amongst other things, four free multiplayer maps, including Livestock (Gunfight), the Petrov Oil Rig, Suldal Harbor, and Verdansk International Airport (Ground War) as well as new missions and challenges.
New Operators include Shadow Company’s Lerch at launch with Velikan and Warcom’s Morte to be added at a future date. You can get all the official details over here.
