Originally envisioned as a mod for Dead Island, and then put on indefinite hold in 2015, Techland’s Hellraid is being given a second chance as DLC for Dying Light. How does that even work? Magic!
There’s a strange, arcade machine-like device in the Tower’s basement that acts as a portal between the world of Dying Light and a fantasy fortress overrun by Hell’s demonic forces, so “insert soul” and get to slaying. The Hellraid DLC comes with its own progression system and, as you rank up, you’ll unlock more impressive swords, hammers, and axes that you can purchase with coin earned by playing. Then, you can return to Harran to lay down some fantasy smack on the local zombie population.
Much like Dying Light, the Hellraid DLC can be played in single player or in co-op with up to four people.
Dying Light – Hellraid is set to release on 23 July 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
