There’s a new season of Apex Legends around the corner, so that means Respawn has started to tease details about what we can expect. But can they be trusted? I think they might still be angry about that whole Revenant leak situation.
The Apex Legends Twitter account recently posted this teaser referencing Hammond Robotics simulacra and their potential for mental instability.

Which sounds an awful lot like Revenant the angsty murder bot and not a new character. Unless they’re adding another dissociated synthetic to the Legend pool, which I guess would be a choice.
Remember how data mining leaks tipped people off that Revenant was coming in Season 4 and then Respawn created Forge, an entirely fleshed-out character with skills and everything, just to have him murdered by Revenant? Yeah, I don’t think they’re over it.
Now, everyone assumes that Loba (likely on a vengequest against Revenant) will be the new Legend added in Season 5, so you should probably be hesitant to trust anything anyone says, especially Respawn, until they release one of their lovely little animated shorts.
Bamboozle me once…
Season 5 of Apex Legends is due to start on 12 May 2020.
