The Crysis Twitter account has been reactivated

For the first time in over three years, the game’s social media account is back online. BUT WHAT COULD THIS MEAN? A new Crysis game, maybe. Probably. It’s not exactly subtle.

Besides the Twitter account’s reboot, the game’s website was also updated on 1 April with a new image of series protagonist Nomad. Or Alcatraz? Prophet? They kind of look the same. And although the source code meta tags included the inevitable “April Fool”, it seems that April Fool was itself an April Fool. A meta April Fool, even. Omg, I get it now.

Since the launch of Crysis 3 in 2013, developer Crytek has been working on Warface, Hunt: Showdown, and other games in between suing Star Citizen studio Cloud Imperium Games but it turns out we were supposed to be saving up for a new PC that can’t even run Crysis 4.
