Insurgency: Sandstorm

Consoles are getting Insurgency: Sandstorm in August

The “brutally real” FPS launched for PC in 2018 and, now, it’s coming to consoles.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is another gritty, co-op, military FPS, this time with hyper-realistic battle sounds to really get you in the war zone. To further evoke the true nature of battle, there is also a very minimal HUD, with no health bar, ammo count, or minimap, and gameplay is all about considered decisions instead of sprinting around the battle field, rocketing everyone in the face.

The game has garnered generally positive reviews over its time on PC, although the decision to cancel the story campaign left many disappointed. The PC version does, apparently, suffer from some performance issues, but it’s possible these won’t affect consoles. Insurgency: Sandstorm is a little bit different, will you be giving it a go?

Insurgency: Sandstorm will be out on 25 August 2020 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
