The Season of the Worthy is bringing a beloved Destiny 1 PvP event back with the return of the Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2.
Trials of Osiris is a weekends-only PvP mode that existed in Destiny 1, but didn’t quite make it to the sequel (Trials of the Nine doesn’t count). In the Trials of Osiris, teams of three battle each other for glory and loot, mostly loot, but the glory is pretty good too. The more matches your team wins, the better the loot. Go flawless, by winning seven straight matches, and you get to sport shiny armour for a week to let everyone know how rad you are.
According to Destiny 2 director Luke Smith, matchmaking will be based on your connection and your card-state, so you should be up against teams that are in the same winning streak situation, and therefore just as desperate to win, as you. If you were a fan of the Destiny 1 Trials of Osiris, the original Trials gear will return in the Destiny 2 version and three maps from the original, Cauldron, Exodus Blue, and Anomaly, will also be included.
The Season of the Worthy begins on 9 March 2020, with the Trials of Osiris taking place from the 13th.
