If your current Dungeon Master stubbornly refuses to let you eat the moon, maybe it’s time to give AI Dungeon 2 a try.
Developed by Nick Walton, AI Dungeon 2 is a text-based adventure generator that was built by feeding OpenAI’s GPT-2 algorithm a whole lot of Choose Your Own Adventure-style texts in order to create an AI capable of taking you on an infinite adventure. And, boy, does it.

The AI Dungeon can remember characters and settings for more believable story-telling, but it responds to the prompts you provide, so the quality and longevity of your adventure depends somewhat on your imagination – sort of like D&D improv, if that was a thing.
Started as a bit of a passion project, AI Dungeon 2 has surged in popularity, leading to overwhelmed servers and slow load times. So, while the game is free to play, Walton asks that fans consider supporting the project via Patreon so that they can keep it all running.
