‘Tis the season of leakage, ahead of E3, this time it’s about some new DLC. Seems Borderlands 2 is getting some new content that will act as a narrative bridge to Borderlands 3, if Steam’s blunder is to be believed.
According to some information and images prematurely posted to Steam, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is some free upcoming DLC for Borderlands 2, ahead of the threequel’s release in September. The accidental sharing has since been removed, but not before it could be posted to ResetEra.
Sanctuary is under siege, as usual, the Vault’s map has been stolen, and a poison gas is threatening the inhabitants of Pandora. You will join Lilith and the Crimson Raiders in their fight against this fresh hell, meeting new bosses, finding new loot, and exploring new places along the way.
The player level cap will be upped to 80, with new players being bumped to 30 so they can join in the fun, the loot is getting a new tier above Legendary, and it looks like you can get sparkly, iridescent rainbow skins for your guns, so I’m pretty excited, you guys.
This was leaked to Steam, but we have to assume the DLC will be available for PS4 and Xbox One too, because the alternative would be cruel and unusual.
