Capcom is making Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition available for all to play for the next two weeks. Interested parties will be able to download and play the highly regarded PS4 and PC fighter, including its full base character roster, as well as four DLC characters. Oh, and people who already own the game but haven’t bought the extra DLC brawlers will be able to use them during the two week freebie period too.
Playing the game on either platform will be free, but perhaps it’s worth pointing out that if you’re jamming on a PS4 you’ll need a paid up PlayStation Plus subscription if you’re planning on taking your Tiger Uppercuts and Sonic Booms into the multiplayer arena. Those references may be redundant – it’s been a while since I’ve played Street Fighter.
In lieu of anything else to tell you, the included DLC characters are Akuma, Blanka, Juri, and Menat, so you’re getting a little bit of something from the first three seasons of Street Fighter 5.
