Alien: Isolation studio Creative Assembly is hiring up for “a brand-new and exciting first-person tactical shooter IP”, and that totally doesn’t rule out a new franchise based on James Cameron’s 1986 sci-fi bug-hunt Aliens that isn’t rubbish. That’s what I’m telling myself.
The company’s careers page has been updated with a number of vacancies including artists, animators, and development managers for the project, which the blurbs describe somewhat unnecessarily as “new, undisclosed” and “unannounced”. Whatever it is, it’s also only in pre-production at the moment, so I wouldn’t expect much more than that for some time – but every position includes casual-but-not-so-casual mention of Alien: Isolation, and that can’t be a coincidence. IT CAN’T, OKAY.
