It’s one of the most madly popular games on the planet at the moment, but maybe not so much with the 150,000 people who’ve been frying panned from the game since it launched in March, including 8,000 this week.
Like ARMA and DayZ, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds uses third-party BattlEye anti-cheat tech linked to a user’s Steam ID, so a ban is forever, and nothing of value is lost.
.@TheBattlEye has now banned over 150,000 cheaters from @PUBATTLEGROUNDS, with more than 8,000 banned in the last 24 hours alone! GG WP

This comes only six weeks or so after confirming 50,000 bans at the beginning of August, up from 25,000 in June. With more and more people playing the game, I expect that number to be 100,000 zillion by the end of the month.
