According to the BioWare community manager on Reddit, there will not be an Arachnophobia mode in the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilgaurd game because they want you all to stop chickening out! It’s just a giant eight-legged creature that exists in the real world and could very well kill you with a single bite-oh, no, wait, my bad. There’s no Arachnophobia mode because the game will not include any spiders.
Sorry, I… Got a little excited there.
Dragon Age has not been afraid to toss in a couple of thousand spiders or two into their games in the past. We even caught a glimpse of one such creature with human-like hands in the behind-the-scenes teaser trailer for Dragon Age 4 that was released way back in 2020.
Skip to 3:16 to check out the monstrosity.
However, now it seems like BioWare will be altogether scrapping any eight-legged freaks from The Veilgaurd, giving Arachnophobes a bit of an easier time to play through the game.
Don’t be too disappointed, though. I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing some sort of octopus-like bosses with eight “legs” of their own to defeat.
