11 Bit Studios Breaks The Ice: Frostpunk 2 Hits 350K Copies Sold In Just Four Days

Frostpunk 2 might have had a chilly start when it dropped last week. Still, much like surviving an arctic wasteland, things quickly warmed up. The team at 11 Bit Studios now has cause to celebrate, as their latest icebound strategy title has officially crossed the 350,000 copies sold mark in just four days. Not too shabby for a game where keeping people alive in subzero temperatures is a full-time job.

“We are super happy to announce that we’ve already exceeded 350,000 copies of Frostpunk 2 sold,” Frostpunk 2’s official Twitter confirmed. “What’s more, the total estimated sales revenue has already covered the costs we spent on producing and marketing the game.”

This news had many fans heading to socials to ask about plans for Frostpunk 3 already. While it may still be early for the devs to officially confirm another venture into Frostpunk’s icy world, the developers don’t seem to hate the idea and have been responding in a very, let’s see what happens, type way.

Frostpunk 2 is also high up on some notable Steam charts right now. It’s currently second place in new and trending and fifth among top sellers.

As the cherry on the cake, the original Frostpunk had an all-time concurrent player record of 29,361, and over the weekend, Frostpunk 2 reached its current all-time peak of 35,533 players.

“Big, big thank you to you all for your support! It (almost) melts our frozen-solid hearts,” Frostpunk 2’s Twitter continues. “The work doesn’t stop here. We are continuously working on improving your experience with hotfixes and patches, and your feedback here is invaluable.”
