It seems like the rumour mill may have processed some valid news, even if the dates may have been a little off. A leak that surfaced at the beginning of September said we were likely to see a PS5 Pro announcement on the 9th of September, and, as luck would have it, PlayStation has announced that they’ll be hosting a technical preview this afternoon, at 5PM
The nine-minute live stream is said to focus on the “PS5 and innovations in gaming technology.”
Tune in tomorrow for a PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation hosted by Mark Cerny
The 9-minute stream begins September 10 at 8:00am PT / 4:00pm BST. Full details: https://t.co/VC31WS9VYd pic.twitter.com/qGUF0Yj9Ia

While this doesn’t necessarily confirm an announcement for the PS5 Pro, we’re pretty confident that Mark Cerny, Lead Architect of the PS5 console, will be talking about the long-awaited PlayStation hardware update.
If we are to believe the full scope of the rumour, we should also hear Cerny announce the release date for the PS5 Pro, which should be around Christmas time this year. A digital version of the console will be released at $499, and the disc version will go on sale for $599. This is $100 more than the base console launched, so we can expect to see a local price of around R14,000 to R15,000.
At NAG HQ, we’re most excited to hear what will be under the hood of the PS5 Pro and find out if an upgrade would even be worth the extra cash.
