Razer Launches South African Online Store

Apex Interactive has just announced that it has taken the official Razer South African online store live.

The popular gaming peripheral brand was first launched in San Diego in 1998, but it was merely a trademarked brand and a subsidiary of Kärna at the time. In 2000, Kärna shut down and five years later, a Singaporean graduate, Min-Liang Tan, and Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff, the man behind the legendary Boomslang mouse, relaunched the company after acquiring the rights to the brand. Today, the company is headquartered in Singapore and the United States.

Razer produces some of the most popular gaming peripherals among gamers, and you can check out our reviews of some of our favourite Razer products here.

The Razer store will feature all the products available in South African retail channels and will soon also feature a few exclusive products, such as the new Razer and Fornite collaboration range that will drop towards the end of the month. Pricing for this range will start from R1,999, and we can’t wait to get our very own Loot Llama keycap—soon, very soon.

In an email statement, Quinton Davie, Apex Interactive CEO, said: “The official Razer South Africa online store is officially live, bringing a wave of cutting-edge gaming gear right to your doorstep. Be among the first 50 customers to make a purchase and score a free Razer gift. Plus, the site will feature exclusive products that you won’t find anywhere else, ensuring your setup is as unique as your gameplay.”

You can head over to the Razer Shop now, and the first 50 orders will receive a free gift.
