If, deep down in your heart, you really think that the reason why you aren’t a pro at any of these competitive FPS games like Counter-Strike, Valorant or even Rainbow Six Siege is because you just need an extra life, well, then have I got some interesting news for you.
On the 3rd of September, which is just five short days away, Mountain Top Studios will be releasing their very own 3v3 competitive FPS, with a bit of a twist.
In Spectre Divide, players have the ability to control two bodies on the map, switching between them as needed. As the trailer points out, imagine it as “two bodies, one mind.”
This makes for some exciting gameplay, as you can plant the explosive device with one character while protecting your six with another. You can switch between a sniper at the back of the map and a shotgunner watching the corners around you. You may even feel the need to use your double as a scapegoat so you can get out of trouble or, if you prefer, into it.
According to some who took part in the beta, Spectre Divide feels similar to Counter-Strike in most ways, but the actual combat feels more similar to Rainbow Six Siege as it’s more friendly to run-and-gunning.
The game will be free-to-play, so if it does pique your interest just a little, why not let both of your personalities take the game on when it releases next week?
