Here’s a reason for all PC and PlayStation gamers to get excited: Sony has just announced that DualSense Edge controller owners will now be able to fully exploit the controllers’ customisation options on PC!
Finally embracing PC gamers, Sony took to X to announce that thanks to a brand-new PlayStation Accessories app, PC gamers will be able to join the cool club and fully customise their DualSense Edge controller even when not using it with their PlayStation 5 as the lord intended.
Getting the PlayStation Accessories app is as easy as following the link here and downloading it for free. After that, PC users can change settings and update the controller’s firmware.
What makes this cool isn’t that users will be able to change button layout more easily now but that they will be able to change other aspects of the controller as well, such as Vibration and Trigger Effect Intensity, Stick Sensitivity, and even Trigger Deadzones.
This app is welcome news from Sony, as they just announced that the retail price of the PlayStation 5 and all related peripherals would be raised in Japan due to current fluctuations in the global economic situation.
Essentially, this means it’s just a matter of time before we’re hit with the same price increase… but hey, at least we can customise our controller when using it for gaming on PC… at long last.
