Arc Raiders
The studio behind The Finals is back with Arc Raiders, a team shooter we’ve all been eagerly awaiting.
Now, thanks to Gamescom, we finally have a rough release date for 2025, which is great. We also got the news that it’s no longer going to be free-to-play, which is a choice.
There will also be a playtest this autumn, so buckle up for some epic Arc Raiding ahead!
Batman Arkham Shadow
Exclusive to Meta Quest 3, the latest VR adventure with the Dark Knight is looking phenomenal.
Batman Arkham Shadow is swooping in (swooping… like a bat… get it?) this October.
Delta Force Hawk Ops
Get ready for some high-octane action. Delta Force Hawk Ops is gearing up for its early access release between October and December.
If you’re craving those epic COD-style shootouts, this is your chance to get in on the action early.
Dune Awakening
One of the highlights of the opening was seeing the new trailer for the highly anticipated Dune MMO, and boy, oh boy, did it not disappoint.
From epic peaks at the character creator to massive sandworms and Arrakis’s breathtaking deserts, this reveal had everything and more.
The game will launch on PC in early 2025, and players will see their enemies’ blood turn into precious water while building ornithopters, settlements, and more.
Herdling
One of my favourite announcements from the event was Herdling, a game from the creators of Far: Lone Sails about herding giant, fluffy, yak-like creatures across stunning, wide-open landscapes.
And even though there’s no giant boat-submarine train this time, the landscapes give off that epic Far vibe. Herdling is coming our (my) way in 2025.
Infinity Nikki
First revealed back during Summer Game Fest, the latest Infinity Nikki trailer is here and bursting with cuteness overload!
In Infinity Nikki, players will help out adorable creatures in a fantastic dress-up RPG setting.
We also learned that the closed beta signups are open now, so what are you waiting for?
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
From the delightfully quirky to the downright epic (yes, I am talking about the Troy Baker-narrated gameplay trailer), the latest trailer for Indiana and the Great Circle gives us a fantastic glimpse of the action.
Mark your calendars for a December release or Spring 2025 for PS5 players.
Mafia: The Old Country
To wrap up this year’s Opening Night Live, we have a teaser for an exciting new Mafia game! It felt more like a sneak peek for Geoff’s Game Awards in December, but it still got me excited.
Marvel Rivals
We’ve got our latest look at Marvel Rivels after staying up past bedtime. And while this new trailer hasn’t cranked up the excitement yet, the full release on December 6th might change my mind. But we’ll wait and see.
Mechabreak
Mech fans, rejoice! The latest trailer for this multiplayer laser extravaganza is here, packing an electrifying punch.
Mechabreak will also have a closed beta for Xbox from August 25th to 27th, which should give those interested a taste of the high-octane chaos heading our way in 2025.
Predecessor
Over the years, many games have promised to redefine the MOBA shooter genre, and Predecessor is no different in that regard.
Predecessor’s 1.0 launch is just around the corner, and by “around the corner,” I mean it’s live right now.
Players can dive into the full version of the game for free as I type this, and who knows, maybe it truly is the game to change everything up, but there’s only one way to know for sure.
Squid Game: Unleashed
Get pumped, Squid Game fans. The Netflix sensation is diving into the gaming world with its own video game adaptation. It looks like a heart-pounding multiplayer action game where your skills and reflexes will be tested as you navigate a deadly gauntlet of traps and puzzles.
While we don’t have a release date yet, it’s coming to the Netflix gaming app “soon.”
Towerborne
There isn’t much to say about Towerborne other than that it’s Steam early access is launching on September 10, 2024!
Get ready to dive into the action and be among the first to experience this exciting new game.
Unknown 9: Awakening
Get ready to channel your inner Assassin’s Creed with the thrilling new trailer for Unknown 9.
And guess what? It’s finally got a release date, and it’s way sooner than I could have imagined, October 18, 2024!
And that’s a wrap on this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live new game announcements!
