Krafton Inc. Brings the Hi-Fi Rush Beat Back to Life

Earlier, in May this year, Microsoft announced that it would be closing down the studios behind Prey and the indie smash hit Hi-Fi Rush.

Now, Krafton Inc., the publishing team behind PUBG and Mr. Flak’s snazzy new game-in-the-works Coltrane, has decided to save the day by buying up Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP.

The agreement between Krafton Inc. and Tango Gameworks will allow the developers to continue working on the Hi-Fi Rush IP and any future projects they might have in the pipeline. However, other games like The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo will remain under Microsoft’s “care”.

Krafton says that the acquisition of Tango Gameworks is a step towards showing how dedicated they are to expanding their “global footprint” with “innovative and high-quality content.”

It’s a refreshing twist on the overall story, as many were shocked when Microsoft announced they were closing Tango Gameworks down, considering how well Hi-Fi Rush took the gaming industry. Here at NAG, we scored the game a massive 90, stating that the game produced a beat that we may not be able to hear but one we could certainly feel.
