Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus Reaches Out to its Community for Help Once More

It was just a couple of weeks ago that Humble Games began “restructuring”, leaving many of its development studios in limbo or just hung out to dry.

One such studio, Squid Shock, released Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus amid all this chaos and has suffered dearly in being able to support the game post-launch because of the ongoings at Humble Games.

A patch was pushed out to the Steam version of the game, but the development team could not access the “pipelines and structures” required to push the same patch through to the game’s console versions.

To save the studio’s future, they have decided to once again return to the support of their community by opening a Patreon for Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, which will allow them to support the game while the uncertainty of Humble Games restructuring takes place behind the scenes.

At the time of writing, Squid Shock still did not have any access to their console porting pipelines, but they are taking steps to resecure it so that they are able to push updates to consoles, as soon as possible.

The small indie studio originally started its development journey by having Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus funded on Kickstarter, and they are hoping that the community can once again keep them afloat to carry on the game development dreams.

We featured Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus in our latest #WinterEdition physical magazine, praising its stunning hand-drawn art, and we are currently giving it a playthrough at NAG HQ, so expect a review soon.
