Nearly two months after the show was officially announced by Amazon, the first teaser trailer for the SEGA adapted show, Like a Dragon: Yakuza, was released during this weekend’s San-Diego Comic Con.
The show is set to follow the main protagonist from most of the Yakuza games, Kazuma Kiryu, or, as we all know him, the Dragon of Dojima. However, it has already been stated that the characters will be quite different to the ones we know from the game.
From the get go, Amazon has stated that they will be creating their own story within the Yakuza universe.
We do know that the show will take place between the years of 1995 and 2005, which means the story should feature some of the events that would have already taken place in Yakuza 0.
A total of six episodes will be released at first, with the first three hitting Amazon Prime on the 24th of October this year, and the next three episodes launching the week after on the 31st of October.
