Only a little while ago, I was sitting here, typing away about a new mod for Stardew Valley that would allow Baldur’s Gate 3 fans to enjoy the best of both worlds and even romance Astarion while taking a break from Turnip tending.
This mod, dubbed Baldur’s Village, is being developed by a Baldur’s Gate 3 fan artist with the handle XunHe1145. When I covered the news the first time around, we just knew that the mod would bring some of the most iconic Baldur’s Gate 3 characters to the wonderous world of Stardew Valley and very little else.
But now we have news. New news.

According to an X, XunHe1145 is aiming for a fall/winter release for Baldur’s Village, which means sometime between September 2024 and February 2025.
The mod will also feature a separate map for Baldur’s Village, four new building styles, and new characters like Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin with custom portraits. There will also be a romance/dating questline for Astarion and Halsin.
That’s not to say that other romance options don’t become available because, as of now, the plan is for the order of marriageable NPCs that will come to Baldur’s Village to be voted on by the official Patreon for the mod.
Hi guys, we’d like to share with you the current progress of Baldur’s village, although the release date has not been decided, but there is a high probability that the first part will be released this fall or winter.

While I’m not generally one to be swept up by mods, Baldur’s Village really excites me—and not just because Asterion does. I promise.
Now, I want to know if you will be checking out Baldur’s Village when it releases. Let me know in the comments.
