Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid English Release Announced at Anime Expo

If you were hoping for a Pocket Monster-esque game with a 20th-century summer twist, Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid is not that game. Don’t worry. I also initially thought the Japanese were just shortening Natsu-Monsters for fun, but it turns out this game is more cosy, summery and kid-like than Pokemon.

For the rest of you who aren’t Pokemon obsessed, you’ll be happy to find out that Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid is getting an English release early next month, on the 6th of August.

Following its successful Japanese release last year, Spike Chunsoft, the game’s development team, announced at Anime Fest that it would release a digital-only version of the game in the English market.

A demo of the game will pop up on the Nintendo eShop on the 30th of July for those who would like to try before they buy.

Spike Chunsoft also released an English trailer alongside the announcement and a few clips from the team themselves showing their excitement.

If you’re going to be picking up this Japanese hit, let us know in the comments why you are.
