Everyone’s favourite (yes, even Cody) asymmetric horror game, Dead by Daylight, is introducing yet another collaboration with a popular franchise. This time, the celebrity survivor to step foot into the game is none other than Lara Croft, the legendary tomb raider herself.
As with the other big-name survivors, from Nicolas Cage to Alan Wake, Lara Coft is first available to play via the game’s public test build on Steam before being released to the public later in July.
Lara Croft is a great survivor to have on the roster, even if she doesn’t enter the game equipped with a gun or bow. However, what she does come with is survival instinct, which will allow her to vault faster, repair generators more effectively, and stay quiet in high-pressure moments. I don’t need to tell anyone just how important that is in Dead by Daylight.
The ultimate survivor faces a gauntlet of otherworldly peril.
Lara Croft is coming.

In Lara’s case, it felt fitting to welcome a legendary character that epitomizes the spirit of survival instinct. Her own experiences have been riddled with brutal encounters, driving her to the brink and back.
One dance with death after another, Lara has persevered with unwavering resolve. From battling Stormguards on the cursed island of Yamatai to enduring Baba Yaga’s nightmarish hallucinations in the Wicked Vale, Lara Croft proves she meets each challenge with a survivor’s determination.
As it stands now, Lara Croft will officially head into the fog on July 16th, but she can be played right now on the public test build.
But now, in the spirit of characters coming to Dead by Daylight, I want to hear from you—who do you hope makes their way into the nightmare we call a good time? Let me know in the comments.
