It seems like GameStop might have done MGS fans a solid by accidentally revealing the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Currently, the game is listed on GameStop’s website with a placeholder release date of the 31st of December 2025, but in a now-deleted post on Xitter, GameSpot mentioned something different.
The deleted post read:
Prepare to slay in Metal Gear Solid [Delta]: Snake Eater. Where stealth & survival meet savagery! Coming 11.17.
Along with a link to the game’s pre-order. What’s interesting about the date, the 17th of November, is that it was the exact date that the original Metal Gear Solid 3 was released back in 2004.
It would be awesome for the remake to be released on the same day, even if it doesn’t exactly fit in with the typical release schedule for games these days, but some are speculating that this date was just pulled from the internet by some junior employee at GameStop for the original game.
Either way, Konami still has quite a long time between now and November 2025 before it can give us the correct release date for the game.
Pre-orders for the game have opened on a few overseas websites, but here in South Africa, we can add the game to our wishlists to be notified.
Check out the latest trailer for the game, shown at the Xbox Games Showcase this past weekend.
