There we have it folks, gaming is now accepted at a diplomatic level.
The Dubai Future Foundation recently announced the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033. This initiative aims to make Dubai a global platform for digital content creators and entrepreneurs across various digital industries, including gaming. This will be done in partnership with international companies, universities and academic institutions.
The main focus will be on talent, content, and tech.
“Through the launch of ‘Dubai Program for Gaming 2033,’ our objective is to establish an incubating environment for developers and to draw leading technology companies from across the globe, particularly those specialising in digital content and experiences. The programme will offer support to developers, designers, programmers, as well as entrepreneurs and startups in the creative industries.” H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation.

With this project, Dubai aims to attract 30,000 workers and add over $1 billion to its GDP. Approved applicants need to be at least 25 years of age and, with the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate issued, will be able to attain long-term residency in Dubai.
So, where is the appeal for content creators? Well, with a gaming visa, you’ll have access to a support ecosystem and the latest technology. This platform aims to help entrepreneurs find investors and venture capitalists with whom to network and engage.
Gamers and content creators who are interested can apply on the DP33 program website.
