Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Has Just Revealed Another Big Bad For Players To Die To

In a power move that screams confidence, FromSoftware recently took to the official Elden Ring X account to casually drop an image. That’s it, no context, nothing, and the internet is going wild.

The image in question shows a new big bad for players to die to, and one that was not featured in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion trailer. Alongside the image, a caption read:

Fearsome foes of unfathomable power await you in the Realm of Shadow.

The image shows a grey-skinned thingie wearing a gold mask with Omen horns, twin rounded blades, and white hair coming out of its eyehole. While that description sounds mad, the actual image is filled to the brim with callbacks to the original title and a few little Easter eggs.

Take its horns, for example. The pattern is reminiscent of Mohg, Lord of Blood. However, the creature’s appearance is more like Margit/Morgott. Also, that gold mask is strikingly similar to the ones worn by Erdtree Guardians in the base game.

It seems fair to assume that cursed Omen will be playing a massive part in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and maybe, just maybe, we get to learn more about their lore and origins,

Players also don’t have much longer to wait, as Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on 21 June.
