Assassins Creed Shadows Will Have Day One Pay-Walled Missions

While everyone is complaining about the historical accuracy of a fantasy game, Ubisoft is sneakily pulling another Star Wars: Outlaws on us by pay-walling another day-one mission from the latest Assassins Creed game, Shadows.

Perhaps a little more triggering is that a second mission has also been gated as a pre-order bonus.

We all know how much the community already loves pre-ordering things, not, and being forced to purchase a season pass to access a separate mission that has already been designed went down so swimmingly when Ubisoft announced it for Outlaws. Even still, Ubisoft are sticking to their guns.

While pre-ordering the game won’t cost you any extra, to get the season-pass mission, gamers will have to buy at least the Gold Edition of the game, which currently costs €40 more than the standard edition, which, when converted directly, will cost you around R2200.

Those who opt to purchase the standard edition will likely have the opportunity to purchase the season pass later, but still more than likely at that €40 mark.

Currently, the cheapest option to acquire everything, including three days of early access, is to subscribe to Ubisoft+ Premium, which will knock you back R210 for a month.

Ubisoft has not yet said anything about the two missions for the upcoming game, except the pre-order mission seems to involve a dog, and the season-pass mission will allow you to “infiltrate a secret society from the inside.”
