After fourteen long, hard years of waiting, no one would blame all the PC players if they had given up all hopes of ever playing Red Dead Redemption on their beloved platform of choice.
No matter how you cut it, waiting fourteen years to play a game released on the almost forgotten Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles truly is madness but not entirely hopeless.
A Red Dead Redemption PC port is heading our way if new evidence is to be believed. This news comes from renowned GTA data miner Tez2, who posted some new code from the Rockstar launcher site today, and it’s pretty cut and dry.
In the code is the following quote:
Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, now playable on PC.
It looks like Rockstar is gearing up to release #RDR1 on PC. pic.twitter.com/2xMmpFIdCk

If this is accurate, PC will be the next platform to receive the famed game after it was released on PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch last year.
And yes, it’s no surprise that Rockstar would wait before giving PC players the opportunity to enjoy the game. It’s been long established that Grand Theft Auto games and even Red Dead Redemption 2 would only come to PC a year after their console equivalents, but fourteen years? That’s a bit rough.
Are you excited about possibly playing Red Dead Redemption on PC in this lifetime? Let me know in the comments.
