Seems Space Marine 2 Will Once Again Have Multiplayer PVP

Thanks to a short video that popped up on the internet this weekend, showing a quick little page through of The Art and Making of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, it seems like players have something to get excited about—PvP.

The video briefly shows a two-page spread that showcases the armour of Chaos Space Marines, the class playable in the PvP mode, from the chapters of the Death Guard, Black Legion, Iron Warriors, Night Lords, Alpha Legion, and World Eaters.

This isn’t the first we’ve seen of the game, but until now, everything has focused on the co-op campaign; this is the first time we’ve had a hint about the PvP mode.

It’s also worth noting that the original Space Marine had a substantial online multiplayer scene, with a team-based mode where two squads of eight marines faced off against each other.

The original PvP mode included a progression system that allowed players to unlock different classes and customise weapons and armour. While we can’t wait to see more of what PvP offers in Space Marine 2, we don’t have much longer to wait. Space Marine 2 is due to release in September.

Are you excited about the game? If so, what do you hope PvP will be like? Let us know in the comments.
