It’s not every day that I get to write about a mod that I can’t wait to try out for myself, but this one has me weak in the knees in all the right ways. Like the rest of the gaming world, I absolutely love Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stardew Valley, so the idea of a collaboration between the two has me smiling from ear to ear.
Over the last few months, Stardew Valley has had a massive surge in popularity again, thanks in no small part to the 1.6 update, so the resurgence of significant mods was given.
Baldur’s Village is a mod from a group of artists and modders that will feature Stardew versions of some of Baldur’s Gate 3’s companions, complete with a new town, custom art, and dialogue.
The Baldur’s Village mod promises to add a new map with four different building styles, Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin NPCs, with custom portraits and a complete romance/dating questline for Astarion.
The mod is being made by a small team of amateurs, so expect progress to be slow. However, the team plans to have the first playable version up on Nexus in time for Baldur’s Gate 3’s first anniversary on August 3rd.
As of now, no further information about Baldur’s Village is known, but it’s definitely something I plan to keep my eye on in the coming months.
