In an announcement that I don’t think anyone was expecting to hear this Monday morning, after twelve whole years, 7 Days to Die is finally leaving early access. Yup, you read that right—apparently, you can teach old dogs new tricks.
So, if you were one of the people who always wanted to try out the popular Zombie Suvial game but were planning on waiting until it leaves early access, this is your moment.
Also, just because the game is finally ready for official release doesn’t mean that the developers of The Fun Pimps are prepared to move on from their tween. In the release announcement, The Fun Pimps revealed that they have and will continue to support 7 Days to Die development with a majority of their resources.
The official release will arrive with a completely new zombie gore system, a new challenge system, recreated vehicle assets, more types of zombies and even updated controller support alongside some additional surprises that will be rolled out through future upgrades.
The launch roadmap also mentions a new wardrobe system, bandits, and a story mode. As of this writing, the official release is scheduled for June, but if you want to pick up the game before then, it’s now on sale on Steam, and you can find it by following the link here.
