The excitement is brewing, and the gods are smiling because Hades 2 is officially set to be released into early access later this year.
However, for gamers who don’t want to wait any longer to see what the game offers, signups are now open for an upcoming technical test on Steam.
This test will not give players access to the full experience, and developer Supergiant Games has said that the technical test will consist of the first significant area of the game as well as showcase some early-game characters, systems, and content.
Signing up for the test is also not a guarantee that you’ll be able to participate.
A subset of players who request access will be invited to participate via an email from Steam with download instructions.
We expect to start with a small player population, then grow it over time. So, even if you aren’t invited to the technical test right away, you may still be invited later.
Our process boils down to: invite some players, fix any problems they run into, invite more players, and so on.
There also isn’t a set date for when the technical test will end, with Supergiant Games saying that the test will run for longer than a week and shorter than a month.
Once the test is over and done with, the early access launch will follow closely behind, with the aim of releasing with as few issues as possible.
It’s important to us to start our forthcoming early access with as few technical issues as possible, so that the focus can be on getting your feedback on the game itself.
We’re very excited to share that game with you soon, and appreciate your patience and support as we prepare! – Supergiant Games
To sign up for the Hades 2 technical test, head over to Steam by following the link here and then click on that request access button, and pray to any and all of the gods that will listen that the invitational email heads your way. It’s that simple.
