After about a year of silence, are we about to see something official from The Coalition regarding Gears of War 6? According to sources who have leaked information to The Verge, the answer is yes.
Along with news we already know, like Xbox working on its next-generation of hardware and looking into what Xbox exclusives should be ported onto other consoles, The Verge’s sources have said that the next Xbox showcase will take place on Sunday, the 9th of June.
The sources also say that Xbox will show off what’s new with the sequel to the third-person shooter Gears of War, as well as information on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the new Indiana Jones game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, and the next instalment to the Call of Duty franchise, which is now on a yearly cycle.
Of course, rumours should always be taken with a pinch of salt. With no confirmation from Xbox on either the date of the “summer” showcase or the news on any of the above-mentioned games, wondering if Fenix dies for real this time could all be for nought.
