Managed Democracy has won the day after the Elites of Super Earth fully eradicated the Automatons in their final mission this weekend.
According to the Helldivers X account, Operation Swift Disassembly was a success.

But what does this mean for Super Earth now? Is the galaxy really as free as the post claims?
With all the chaos that Joel, the Helldivers game master, has been causing in-game, surely something huge is in the works.
While there is still no sight of The Illuminate faction from the original Helldivers, some theories suggest that Helldivers 2 will take on the same “Groundhog Day” aspect that took place previously.
Whether the war was won or lost, super soldiers, their enemies and the war were completely reset. However, with Joel in charge, even if Helldivers 2 is on the same path as its predecessor, I can’t help but think something bigger is going on behind the scenes, akin to Edge of Tomorrow.
Comments on the successful mission post also suggest that not everyone is convinced the war is over. While some praise freedom and democracy, others mention their lack of trust in the message and ponder what Joel has cooking in his kitchen or sarcastically suggest, “Nothing bad or unexpected will happen”.
