You Get To Do Crime, I Get To Do Crime, We All Get To Do Crime Thanks To Magic: The Gathering

In Magic: The Gathering Outlaws of Thunder Junction, crime will be new a way to reward outlaw behaviour – much like actual crime is a way to reward criminal behaviour. Crime, in this case, though, is specifically defined as using your spells or abilities to target an opponent directly, anything they control, or even their discards.

When that happens, committing a crime will trigger, and so will effects from all your other criminal-themed cards in play. Many cards in this new set will take advantage of this new mechanic, and aggressive play is the name of the game. Shoot first, get rewarded and then ask questions, if you will.

To help players stay on top of their crime sprees and also to help remind them to reward themselves for doing wrong, Outlaws of Thunder Junction will also include a bonus sheet of Crime cards.

This sheet will look like front-page news stories from Thunder Junction’s rag, the Prosperity Post.

This newspaper-esque treatment is a way to quickly identify if you’ve been bad in the right way or the very wrong way at a glance.
