In January, news broke that the 100-player WW2 shooter Enlisted would be coming to Steam as Enlisted: Reinforced, an updated version of the standalone game.
Now, on the 28th of March, that release finally materialised, but don’t worry if you missed it, because only hours after releasing, sales were abruptly stopped due to technical problems and general player dissatisfaction.
So essentially, Enlisted: Reinforced is the same as the standalone version available through Gaijin’s launcher. However, access to it is restricted to players who purchase an “early access pack,” which includes various sorts of premium game content.
This alone was enough to upset Steam players because 1) many didn’t realise that the game they just bought was already available for free from Gaijin and 2) they rightfully expected that the Steam version would be a more enhanced version of the game than what they got – because that’s what was promised.

However, an even bigger issue was that after purchasing the Steam version, players were unable to link their existing Gaijin accounts to the Steam edition, meaning those who had already played the game through its launcher were cut off from their progress, and the more advanced weaponry and vehicles they’ve previously earned or purchased.
All in all, everything led to the game having an influx of negative reviews, with the developers being forced to apologise for the mess and halt game sales just hours after they went live.
As it currently stands, anyone who has already spent their hard-earned gold coins buying the game on Steam will still be able to play it while the developers “assess what they can do to address the issues raised.”
The developers, however, didn’t provide any time frame for a fix or return to Steam but described the account linking issue as a significant technical obstacle.
