Cosy MMO Palia Launches On Steam Today

Palia, the next big thing in farming and community sim games, has been in open beta since August last year. Still, today is the day that it officially releases on Steam. And in some rare but always appreciated good news, the game will continue to be free-to-play during its early access period.

As of now, players will be able to download the game on Steam and then either sign in with the same details used for the beta or create a new account, and most importantly of all, everyone will be able to redeem an enormous in-game Frogbert plush.

For those who haven’t looked into the game much, Palia is a whole lot like Stardew Valley, but it’s online. Players will be farming, fishing, cooking and making friends with the other villagers, but other players will also surround them while they do so.

One of the most significant ways the game deviates from Stardew (aside from appearance) is that instead of having players manage their energy levels and progress through seasons, players will instead level up various skills and earn cash money to expand their house for their friends to visit.

If you want to check out Palia, you can follow the link to the game’s Steam page. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my farm isn’t going to tend to itself.
